UEFA Euro 2012 som DLC

Så har EA Sports annonceret det kommende UEFA Euro 2012, der ligesom de forgange versioner tager udgangspunkt i EM-slutspillet.
Denne gang har EA dog ikke valgt at lade UEFA Euro 2012 få sit eget cover, men i stedet ladet det være som DLC (red: downloadable content/hente via internettet), hvilket vil sige, at man som indehaver af FIFA 12 kan tilføje UEFA Euro 2012-delen til FIFA 12. 

Udvidelsen vil være ude d. 25. april og vil koste 16 pund, eller det der svarer til 140 kroner. UEFA Euro 2012 vil have alle 53 landshold med samt de 8 officielle stadions. Ligeledes vil der, som man kender det fra FIFA 12, komme udfordringer parallelt med det virkelige EM. Man vil i UEFA Euro 2012 kunne kæmpe for sin nationale stolthed og spille med sit land imod andre rivaliserende lande i grupperne og til sidst komme ud som UEFA Euro 2012-mester.

"The all-new Expedition Mode designed exclusively for UEFA EURO 2012 enables fans to build, manage and compete with a customized team against other European nations, crafting the perfect strategy for European domination. Fans will choose their favourite European player or FIFA 12 Virtual Pro to captain their customized team, win matches to earn better players from defeated nations, and then defeat the best nations to earn the best players in a campaign quest to defeat all 53 countries and complete the journey to conquer Europe.

"This game will tap into the passion fans have for their national teams by capturing all of the national rivalries in-game, and re-creating all the emotion of the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament," said producer Sebastian Enrique. "We are utilizing the best-playing FIFA videogame ever, driving live, digital content created from the biggest headlines from the tournament into the game, and offering an exclusive new mode that will challenge gamers in unique and compelling ways."

EA har muligvis ment at endnu en udgivelse i FIFA-serien vil have været for meget med FIFA 12 fra efteråret og den nylige udgivelse af FIFA Street i sidste måned.
